In the next 20 years, we're poised to see tens of millions of jobs replaced by machines. Programmers are by no means safe from the AI revolution. In this session, I will briefly review past attempts at machine-assisted software development, the current state of these technologies, and where we're heading. The smarter machines get, the more difficult it is to speculate about what the future holds. But I will make some predictions about the next 5-10 years. what this means for the average developer, and steps developers can take to (try!) to future-proof their careers.
